Female Fertility Testing Package

Price: £460

This package is designed for women who want a thorough fertility assessment in a single pathway. It covers the three core steps: an imaging scan of your ovaries and uterus, a blood test to measure your egg reserve, and a consultation to put it all together.

1. 3D Ultrasound AFC Scan

The first step is a pelvic ultrasound, carried out at our clinic using 3D imaging. During this scan, the sonographer counts the small resting follicles visible on each ovary.

This is called an antral follicle count (AFC), and it’s one of the most reliable ways to assess your ovarian reserve, which is the number of eggs your ovaries still have available to respond to treatment.

The scan also checks the overall health of your uterus and ovaries. It can pick up structural issues such as fibroids, ovarian cysts, or uterine abnormalities that might affect your chances of conceiving.

2. AMH Blood Test

We take a blood sample to measure your anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH) level. AMH is produced by the small follicles in your ovaries, so your blood level gives a good indication of your remaining egg supply.

AMH on its own doesn’t tell you whether you’ll get pregnant, but combined with the AFC scan, it gives your consultant a much clearer picture of where you stand and how your ovaries are likely to respond to fertility treatment.

3. Specialist Consultation

Every fertility journey is unique, which is why a consultation with one of our experienced fertility specialist doctors is essential. We’ll do this a few days after your initial investigations, either in our clinic or virtually.

During this consultation, your doctor will review your results, explain what they mean in the context of your age and medical history, and discuss relevant factors such as your menstrual cycle, previous pregnancies, lifestyle, and family history. If treatment is appropriate, they’ll outline the options and help you plan your next steps.

Male Fertility Testing Package

Price: £195

This package gives men a detailed assessment of their fertility health, through a comprehensive semen analysis and a specialist results review.

1. Semen Analysis

You’ll provide a semen sample in a private, comfortable room at our clinic. We’ll send preparation instructions in advance (including guidance on abstinence) to ensure the results are as accurate as possible.

Our laboratory team then analyses the sample across several key measures:

  • Sperm count looks at the total number of sperm present.
  • Motility measures how many are moving and how effectively they swim, which matters because sperm need to travel through the cervix, uterus, and fallopian tubes to reach an egg.
  • Morphology assesses the percentage with a normal, healthy shape, since abnormally formed sperm are less likely to fertilise successfully.

Beyond these core measures, we also check for anti-sperm antibodies (which can interfere with sperm function) and signs of infection or disorders that might affect reproductive health.

2. Results Review

Several days after your semen analysis, you’ll have a review appointment with one of our specialists. You can do this by video call if you prefer.

Your specialist will walk you through each result, explain what’s within the normal range and what isn’t, discuss any relevant medical or lifestyle factors, and outline your options for next steps. If your partner is also undergoing testing, you can discuss the results together at a joint consultation.

Couples and Same-Sex Couple Testing Packages

Heterosexual Couples Package

Price: £595

For heterosexual couples, this package combines the female and male assessments into one coordinated treatment pathway.

It includes a 3D ultrasound AFC scan and AMH blood test for the female partner (as described in the Female Fertility Testing Package above), a semen analysis for the male partner (as described in the Male Fertility Testing Package), and a joint consultation where both of you sit down with a fertility specialist to go through all the results together.

You’ll both need to attend the consultation, which takes place a few days after the tests and can be held at the clinic or virtually.

Same-Sex Female Couple Package

Price: £780

This package is designed for female same-sex couples and includes AFC scans and AMH tests for both partners. This procedure gives us a clear view of your reproductive organs and helps identify any underlying issues, such as fibroids or ovarian cysts, that could affect your fertility.

Having both sets of results helps the team understand each partner’s ovarian reserve, which is important when deciding who might carry the pregnancy or provide the eggs, if you’re considering reciprocal IVF or a shared motherhood approach.

The package also includes a joint consultation with a fertility specialist, where you’ll review results together and discuss treatment pathways, including donor sperm options and any additional tests that might be needed.

Specialised Fertility Packages

PCOS Package

Price: £725

If you’ve been diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) or suspect you may have it, this package is tailored to your situation. PCOS can affect ovulation and hormone levels, so the testing and consultation pathway here is more focused than a standard female fertility check.

The package includes a 3D ultrasound AFC scan, an AMH blood test, a specialist consultation with Professor Helen Mason (our PCOS specialist), and a follow-up fertility consultation with one of our doctors to create a personalised treatment plan.

Having both the PCOS-specific and general fertility consultations means your plan takes account of the full picture, not just the PCOS diagnosis, and gives you a way forward in your fertility journey.

Consultation and Aquascan

Price: £530 (saving £60 compared to booking separately)

An Aquascan is a specialist 3D ultrasound that uses a small amount of saline fluid to give a detailed view inside your womb (also known as saline infusion sonography). It can identify conditions such as polyps, fibroids, adhesions, or any scarring inside the uterine cavity that might affect implantation or pregnancy.

This package pairs the Aquascan with a fertility consultation, so you can go through the findings with a specialist and discuss what they mean for your next steps.

Consultation and HyCoSy

Price: £630 (saving £60 compared to booking separately)

A HyCoSy (hysterosalpingo-contrast sonography) is a specialist ultrasound that checks whether your fallopian tubes are open. During the scan, the sonographer passes a small amount of contrast fluid through the tubes while watching on screen. If the fluid flows through freely, the tubes are patent (open).

If it doesn’t, a blockage may prevent the egg and sperm from meeting and impact successful fertilisation.

HyCoSy can also help identify other conditions in the uterus and pelvis, including endometriosis and structural abnormalities. This package includes a consultation to discuss your results and plan your next steps.

Initial and Returning Patient Consultation Options

Initial Consultation

Price: £195

If you’d rather speak to a specialist before committing to a full testing package, you can book an initial consultation on its own. We can hold this at the clinic or by video call from home.

When you book, we’ll send you registration forms and ask you to share any existing fertility test results, medical records, or referral letters. That way, your consultant can review everything in advance and use the appointment to focus on what you need.

Returning Patient Package

Price: £530

If you’ve had treatment with us before and are returning after a pregnancy or a break, this package updates your records and checks for any changes. It includes a 3D Aquascan to assess the uterine cavity and a consultation to review your current situation, alongside your previous treatment history.

What Happens During Your Fertility Consultation

A fertility consultation at Concept Fertility typically lasts around 60 minutes. Your specialist will start by reviewing your medical history, including your menstrual cycle, any previous pregnancies or miscarriages, contraceptive history, and general health and lifestyle factors, such as diet, exercise, and stress.

Once your consultant fully understands your situation, they’ll explain the results of any tests you’ve had with us, identify any areas that need further investigation, and discuss the treatment pathways that might be right for you.

From Diagnosis to Treatment: Your Next Steps

Your consultation packages are the starting point in your fertility journey. Once your tests and consultations are complete, your fertility specialist will sit down and work with you to map out a treatment pathway.

For some patients, the next step is straightforward. If your tubes are open, your partner’s sperm analysis is normal, and there are no clear structural or genetic issues, your doctor might recommend starting with ovulation induction or IUI before moving to IVF.

If the picture is more complex, perhaps with a low ovarian reserve, blocked tubes, or a male factor issue, IVF or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) might be the most suitable first step.

For same-sex couples and single women, treatment planning also involves decisions about donor sperm, and in some cases donor eggs or reciprocal IVF. Your consultant will talk through all of these options and help you decide what feels right for you.

Every package at Concept Fertility is designed to set up a treatment plan you understand and feel comfortable with.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I prepare for my first appointment?

Bring any existing test results, GP referral letters, or medical records with you (or send them in advance when you book). If you are visiting us as a couple, both partners should attend if possible. You don’t need to do anything specific beforehand, but writing down any questions you want to ask can help you make the most of the time.

Do I need to have tests before my consultation?

If you book an initial consultation on its own, your doctor will review your history and recommend any tests you need. If you book a testing package, you’ll complete the tests first, and your consultation will focus on reviewing the results.

Is a fertility consultation confidential?

Yes. All consultations are private and confidential. We see patients individually or as couples in private rooms, and we handle your information in line with UK data protection regulations.

What treatment might be recommended after my tests?

That depends entirely on what the tests show. Common next steps include IVF, IUI, ovulation induction, frozen embryo transfer, or further specialist investigations such as preimplantation genetic testing (PGT). Your consultant will explain why they recommend a particular pathway and what it involves.

Can I have a consultation by video call?

Yes. You can have all initial and follow-up consultations by video call if you prefer. You’ll have the same specialist, the same amount of time, and the same level of detail as an in-clinic appointment.

Do you accept patients from outside London?

Yes. While our clinic is based in Putney, South West London, we welcome patients from across London, Surrey, the South East and throughout the UK.

Many patients choose to travel to Concept because of our more inclusive approach to fertility treatment. As an independent clinic, our focus is on the individual rather than applying restrictive criteria simply to protect success-rate statistics.

We believe fertility care should be based on what is clinically appropriate for you, with treatment decisions made around your individual circumstances, needs and goals.
