Real patients. Real experiences. Real families.
Choosing a fertility clinic is a deeply personal decision. Success rates, treatment options and costs are important, but sometimes the most helpful insight comes from people who have already been through the journey themselves.
At Concept Fertility Clinic in London, we are incredibly proud of the feedback our patients share about their experiences with us.
From IVF and IUI to frozen embryo transfers, fertility treatment for same-sex couples, treatment for women with a higher BMI, PCOS support and more complex fertility journeys, every patient’s story is different.
What comes through repeatedly in our patient reviews, however, is the importance of personalised fertility care, compassionate support and being treated as an individual rather than simply another patient.
Here are some of the experiences our patients have chosen to share.
IVF Success Stories
“Making dreams become reality”
One of our patients described the kindness, compassion and empathy she experienced throughout her IVF journey.
She particularly valued the personalised approach of her doctor and embryologist and said that she and her partner always felt heard, with questions answered carefully and decisions clearly explained.
Most importantly, she said:
“We never felt like just another patient—our treatment truly felt tailored to us.”
Their fertility journey ultimately resulted in the birth of their baby boy.
From a frozen embryo transfer to a beautiful baby boy
Fertility treatment does not always work immediately, and we know how difficult it can be when patients begin to wonder whether they will ever achieve the outcome they have been hoping for.
One couple described reaching exactly that point.
After their previous treatment, their final frozen embryo transfer was successful and resulted in the birth of their baby boy.
They described the Concept Fertility team as excellent and said staff continually tried to make them feel comfortable throughout their treatment.
IVF after previous unsuccessful treatment
Some patients come to Concept Fertility after treatment elsewhere has been unsuccessful.
One couple found Concept after experiencing two unsuccessful IVF rounds abroad. They specifically searched for an independent IVF clinic in the UK because they wanted their next experience to feel more personal.
Following an initial consultation with Mr Kamal Ojha, they felt they finally had a clear plan.
Their journey included IVF, embryo transfer, pregnancy loss and the subsequent transfer of their remaining frozen embryo.
That embryo resulted in their little boy, Oliver.
Their detailed review describes not only the clinical treatment they received, but the support they experienced following their miscarriage and when they felt ready to try again.
For us, this is an important part of fertility care. Our role is not simply to be there for the successful moments. We aim to support our patients through the difficult parts of their journey too.
Fertility Treatment for Low AMH and Low Ovarian Reserve
Being told that you have a low AMH or low ovarian reserve can be frightening, particularly if you have already been trying to conceive for some time.
One patient described undergoing four rounds of egg collection because of very low AMH levels.
She particularly valued the honesty of the team:
“We were never given false hope.”
Despite retrieving only one embryo that reached the blastocyst stage, the embryo resulted in a successful pregnancy and the birth of her son.
Importantly, she said that even if treatment had not been successful, she felt every avenue had been considered and that she had complete trust in the team.
That is something we consider extremely important.
Good fertility care is not about promising outcomes that nobody can guarantee. It is about providing realistic information, exploring appropriate options and helping patients make informed decisions about their treatment.
Fertility Treatment with Endometriosis and Low AMH
One couple came to Concept Fertility after years of trying to conceive. The female partner was in her late 30s, had been diagnosed with endometriosis and also had low AMH.
They described receiving a tailored treatment protocol and valued the clear communication and encouragement they received during scans, treatment and embryology updates.
After two fresh embryo transfers and a frozen embryo transfer, they welcomed a healthy baby girl.
Every patient’s circumstances are different, which is why fertility treatment at Concept begins by looking at the individual rather than applying the same approach to everyone.
PCOS Fertility Treatment
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most common conditions affecting female fertility, but having PCOS does not mean that you cannot become pregnant.
One of our patients explained that the Concept Fertility team helped her manage her PCOS so that she could proceed with fertility treatment.
Her treatment ultimately resulted in the birth of her daughter.
At Concept Fertility, we can investigate fertility concerns associated with PCOS and discuss treatment options based on your individual circumstances.
IVF and Fertility Treatment for Women with a Higher BMI
Finding fertility treatment can be particularly difficult for women with a higher BMI.
Several of our patients have specifically told us that they approached Concept Fertility after experiencing barriers to treatment elsewhere.
One patient came to us after encountering difficulties accessing treatment because of her BMI. Following her first IVF cycle with Concept Fertility, she welcomed her son. She described feeling heard, supported and prioritised after previously feeling that she had very few options.
Another patient told us she specifically searched for a fertility clinic willing to treat patients with a higher BMI. After IUI treatment and subsequently IVF, she became pregnant following her first embryo transfer and welcomed her son.
We believe BMI should be considered as part of a patient’s overall health and clinical circumstances, rather than looking at a number in isolation.
If you have previously been told that your BMI prevents you from accessing fertility treatment, you are welcome to speak to our team about whether treatment at Concept Fertility may be appropriate for you.
IUI Success Stories
IUI with low ovarian reserve
IVF isn’t the only fertility treatment we provide.
One patient with a very low ovarian reserve chose to undergo intrauterine insemination (IUI).
After an unsuccessful first attempt, she proceeded with a second IUI cycle and subsequently discovered she was pregnant with triplets.
She particularly appreciated that the team continued to keep in contact during and after her pregnancy.
Treatment outcomes vary considerably between patients, and multiple pregnancy is an important consideration when discussing fertility treatment. Your fertility specialist will discuss the potential benefits and risks of treatment with you before you proceed.
LGBTQ+ Fertility Treatment and Same-Sex Couples
Concept Fertility welcomes LGBTQ+ patients and families.
We offer fertility investigations and treatment options for same-sex couples, including donor sperm IUI, IVF and reciprocal IVF/shared motherhood, depending on your individual circumstances.
One couple described feeling “seen, respected and supported” from the moment they entered the clinic.
They particularly valued the support they received when choosing donor sperm and considering their fertility treatment options.
Their treatment resulted in the birth of their daughter, and they said they would wholeheartedly recommend Concept Fertility to other LGBTQ+ couples hoping to start or grow their families.
Another same-sex couple underwent IUI treatment with us. After discussing their options with the team, they decided IUI was right for them and conceived on their first attempt, subsequently welcoming their baby girl.
IVF for Same-Sex Couples
Another couple chose Concept Fertility for IVF and described their experience as extremely positive.
Despite initial blood results that had left them concerned about how many eggs they might be able to retrieve, their cycle resulted in four viable blastocysts.
They particularly valued being treated at a smaller fertility clinic where they regularly saw familiar members of staff.
They conceived during their first IVF treatment with Concept Fertility and subsequently welcomed their baby.
Solo Motherhood and Fertility Treatment
Families come in many different forms.
One patient came to Concept Fertility at 26 while pursuing motherhood on her own.
She explained that choosing a clinic where she would feel comfortable and supported at appointments was especially important to her.
She described having someone from the team there for her throughout the process, which ultimately resulted in the birth of her baby girl.
We welcome single women who are considering fertility treatment and can discuss investigations, donor sperm and the different routes to parenthood available.
Fertility Treatment After Miscarriage
Pregnancy loss can be an incredibly difficult part of a fertility journey.
Several of our patients’ stories describe experiencing miscarriage before later achieving a successful pregnancy.
One patient became pregnant following her first frozen embryo transfer but sadly experienced a missed miscarriage. She subsequently conceived following her second transfer and welcomed a healthy baby girl.
Another couple described the emotional journey of their third frozen embryo transfer finally resulting in the birth of their baby boy.
While every fertility journey is different, our team understands that treatment involves much more than procedures, scans and medication. Compassionate support and clear communication matter enormously, particularly when treatment doesn’t go according to plan.
Personalised Fertility Care in London
A recurring theme in our patient feedback is personalised care.
Patients describe our team as:
“Kind and considerate.”
“Professional, compassionate and incredibly knowledgeable.”
“Supportive and professional.”
“Warm, competent and compassionate.”
“Friendly, attentive and knowledgeable.”
One patient described how the team supported her from her first consultation through pregnancy and the eventual birth of her baby boy. She felt genuinely cared for and listened to throughout her treatment and particularly valued the personalised care she received.
Another patient said the team had been available throughout treatment and into the early stages of pregnancy to answer questions and arrange appointments at convenient times.
Why Choose an Independent Fertility Clinic?
Concept Fertility is an independent fertility clinic in London.
For many of our patients, this matters.
One couple specifically told us they searched for an independent IVF clinic because they did not want to feel like another statistic or simply another patient on the books.
Being independent allows us to retain the personal approach that has always been central to Concept Fertility.
Our focus is on understanding you: your fertility history, your test results, your previous treatment, your concerns and your goals.
We then recommend the investigations or fertility treatment that we believe are appropriate for your individual circumstances.
What Do Concept Fertility Patients Say About the Clinic?
Looking across the experiences our patients have shared, several themes appear again and again:
Personal and compassionate care
Patients frequently describe feeling listened to, supported and treated with kindness.
Individual fertility treatment
Our patients value treatment plans tailored to their circumstances rather than feeling they are following a standardised pathway.
Familiar faces
As a smaller independent fertility clinic, patients often see the same doctors, nurses, sonographers, embryologists and patient support team throughout their journey.
Clear communication
Patients frequently mention having procedures and treatment options clearly explained and being able to ask questions.
Inclusive fertility care
Our reviews include experiences from same-sex couples, solo mothers, women with a higher BMI, patients with PCOS, low AMH and endometriosis, and people who have previously had unsuccessful fertility treatment elsewhere.
Support beyond the positive pregnancy test
Some of the most meaningful feedback we receive relates to the support patients have experienced during pregnancy, after miscarriage and even after their babies have been born.
